Today marks World Theatre Day and who doesn’t love a theatre show? On Saturday night we were glued to our television screens watching (and singing badly along to) Big Night of Musicals 2023 on BBC One. What a great showcase of the musicals in the West End and touring shows and it has definitely made us want to head to the theatre.
The question is what show should you go and watch at the theatre?
As well as the firm favourites such as Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera and Wicked to name just a few, we have some new and exciting theatre breaks. Some of the shows are only around for a limited time so make sure you don’t miss out.

Ain’t Too Proud – The Life and Times of the Temptations
This musical follows the fascinating journey of The Temptations from their beginnings in Detroit to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Featuring some of the band’s greatest hits such as ‘My Girl’ and ‘Papa was a Rolling Stone’, you will be singing and dancing along before you know it.

Aspects of Love
Opening in May 2023, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s celebrated musical Aspects of Love is back. What’s even more exciting is that Michael Ball returns, 34 years after having starred in the original West End production, this time playing the role of George.

Crazy For You
Based on George and Ira Gershwin’s Girl Crazy musical, Crazy For You is directed and choreographed by Broadway legend Susan Stroman. This fun filled musical contains glorious Gershwin tunes fantastic dance routines and stars a wonderful cast of Charlie Stemp (Mary Poppins) as Bobby, Carly Anderson (Sunny Afternoon) as Polly and Drama Desk Award winner Tom Edden as Bela Zangler.

Grease the Musical
