An Introduction to Ocean Cruising

Life BuoyEver fancied something a little different instead of a coach holiday or air holiday? Then why not try an ocean cruise, with plenty of freedom to explore some great destinations you can’t beat staying in a hotel on the water!

Cruises are great for the young or old with plenty of on board entertainment, activities and new places to discover. Many cruise ships now have swimming pools, dancefloors, libraries, multiple restaurants and bars and even in some cases water rides, climbing walls and mini golf facilities.

Many of the cruises available from depart from ports around the UK including London Tilbury, Bristol, Dundee and Newcastle meaning they are easy to join and you don’t need to fly before joining your cruise. Perfect for those who are nervous flyers.

Greece-CruisingPossibly the best part of cruising is waking up each morning in a new destination, you could be in Venice one day and then stopping in Croatia the next, you really do see so much more than on a conventional beach holiday and you only need to unpack your suitcase the once. Make sure you know your itinerary before you leave though, you might need different currencies for each country so do your homework!

Another advantage to cruising is the amazing food you’ll find on board, with a plentiful supply and a great variety available. In addition to the great breakfast, lunch and dinner there is likely to be times for afternoon tea and even a midnight snack – you definitely won’t be going hungry.
