Planning a coach trip to London? Make the most of it with some tips!
Get a visitor Oyster Card
A Visitor Oyster card offers ‘pay as you go’ credit which is acceptable for most public transport options. Purchase it online, so that it is delivered at your doorstep. You can then use it as soon as you arrive in London.
Think you won’t need the card because your trip is short? It’s cheaper than paper tickets, so we highly recommend it.
Avoid busy times
London is the busiest between 8.30 to 9 and 17.30 to 18.30 hours on the weekdays. Avoid these time slots if you want a more comfortable and quicker journey.
Stay to the right
If you are using escalators, then always stand on the right side such that you leave enough space for anyone who is a hurry. When you are at the platform, don’t step ahead of the yellow line.
Keep luggage to a minimum
Keep your luggage to a minimum for easy travelling. Though most of the tour coaches would allow you two pieces, you should take only one with you so that it is easy to manage.
Check the weather beforehand
Which months are you planning your trip in? Check out the weather during this time beforehand, and pack up your clothes accordingly. Jeans and tees usually work, but layer up.
Plan out beforehand
London is full of many interesting places. Where do you want to go, and which of these would you not mind missing? Plan this out beforehand, so as to save time on the trip.
Keep a debut or credit card with you
This one is understood but still worth mentioning. You never know when your plastic card can come in handy.
