2012 is certainly an exciting year for the UK in more ways than one and with this in mind we thought we’d take a look at some of the hottest events that you can be a part of on escorted tours. Obviously, we can’t forget that it’s the Queens Diamond Jubilee, the 100th Anniversary of the RMS Titanic, the 200th anniversary of Charles Dickens birthday and The Olympics as well but there are many other events that we think you simply cannot afford to miss this year. We’ve cherry-picked a few that we think will be hot, hot, hot in 2012 but if you know of any others, do get in touch and we’ll be sure to add them to the list…

Chelsea Flower Show
Always popular with the green-fingered, the Chelsea Flower Show continues to attract visitors from across the world and 2012 is no exception. RHS Environment features clever solutions to problem areas. There are also new food courts and restaurants allowing you to relax and mull over your purchases with a cheeky glass of Pimms!
Edinburgh Military Tattoo
Once again Edinburgh plays host to the spectacular Edinburgh Military Tattoo, a platform for representing the creative talent of four continents to pay a sparkling tribute to the Queens Diamond Jubilee and the year of Creative Scotland. This will be the 62nd extravaganza to be staged at Edinburgh Castle and has an outstanding line-up of over 1000 performers including musicians, pipers, drummers, singers, dancers as well as a specially commissioned firework display. The show will be brought to an emotional and poignant close each evening as the Lone Piper, high on the castle ramparts, plays a haunting lament.
Will you be going to any of the above events? If so, we’d love to hear what you thought and whether you would recommend them to others.
