Hayley’s Profile

Name: Hayley Edwards

Favourite destinations: I have so may destinations which I love for many different reasons – Melbourne is an amazing city to live in, India is my favourite country as it is so diverse, I still think my favourite city is Paris, although Buenos Aires is up there and as for the friendliest country it has to be Laos without a doubt.

Most memorable holiday: Trekking the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal, it was a long and tiring hike which was in no way glamorous but definitely worth the effort. We walked up and over 5,400m in height (higher than the Everest Basecamp!) and on the way up I got proposed to at Manang, so Nepal will always be a very special place for me.

If I could escape for the weekend, I would: Board a train to Paris and spend the weekend wandering the streets, admiring the views, drinking good wine and eating delicious French food. The funny thing is I never thought I would like Paris but I fell in love with the city on my first visit.

If someone gave me £5000 to spend on a holiday, I would: Go to Norway as it is a country which has amazing scenery and I have always wanted to go on a Norway Fjord cruise.

Suitcase Essentials: I have just written my first ever blog on packing so I would suggest reading that, however, I would definitely say ear plugs (to avoid snoring/annoying people), a thin scarf (sun shade or to keep warm) and a universal plug adapters.

City Slicker or Beach Bod?: City Slicker, I can only spend so long lying on a beach! I love wandering the city streets, sitting in the cafes watching the world go by and exploring all the culture which that city has to offer.
