The show, which is located in the Harewood Estate in Leeds has opened its gates for all it friends. The public can visit the sets during the weekend and the guests can roam around in the fictional village, where the filming of their most favorite show takes place.
The visitors are now allowed to go about in the village and marvel at the scenic beauty that the place boasts of. The village looks completely surreal as it is filled with tiny homes that are placed in the hills and have stone-cladded shops as well. The Emmerdale village that you can see today was built on the grounds of the Harewood House almost 17 years ago. The filming earlier in used to take place in Esholt, but the place became so popular that it was impossible to continue shooting in the area. The new location was kept as a secret, until it recently opened its doors for all its fans.
