If you are an Emmerdale fan and have always longed to go visit the set where it is shot, the time to do it is now.
Set within the Harewood Estate, located in Leeds, is the outdoor location where Emmerdale, the longest running British soap opera is filmed. The set will open its gates for the general public from spring 2016, to allow you to enjoy a special tour of the fictional village, the popular filming location of Emmerdale.
Emmerdale tours are very exciting and a number of people visit the majestic sets of the outdoor shoot of Emmerdale each year. Thousands of people descend to the sets in Harewood Estate, as well as, other locations in the suburbs of Esholt, Yorkshire. Visiting the sets once will make you fall in love with not only the characters but also the beautiful places shown on the screen.
If you want to make the maximum out of the tour, make sure it is a guided one. The walking tour of the set will take around 1.5 hours to complete. Since it is a working TV set, it is open only at selected weekends from March until October.
