Location of the Show
The filming of the show originally started in Arncliffe, which is a village in Littondale. The Harewood estate was built in 1996 and is in use since 1997. A place known as Falcon Inn was also used as a shop, vicarage, the Woolpack, church, and the village forge. The filming of Emmerdale took place in Esholt for 22 years but the place got very popular, so some of the shots are now done at a studio in Leeds and the outside scenes are filmed in Harewood estate.
Most of the filming of the show has taken place at West Yorkshire and in the City of Leeds.
