Coach holidays have a special place in UK holiday makers and for good reason. If you are new to the experience the following will be some tips to help you on your journey.
Travel Light
Travellers are allowed to bring along with them one suitcase on their coach holidays. 76cm x 46cm x 25cm are the dimensions that are allowed for your bags, and the weight should not exceed 50 lbs. Travellers are also allowed to bring along with them hand luggage, but since there is less space in a coach one should always take something that is small enough to fit in the coach’s limited space, and try not to choose one that has telescope handles.
Pack the Essentials
Essentials such as toothpaste, sunscreens, lotions, creams or shaving gels are all easily available in travel size from any regular pharmacy. Not only do they save up space in your luggage, but you can also keep them in your hand luggage. Another important item to keep in mind is hand sanitizer, especially if you’re going to spend a lot of time outdoors and you are going to touch a lot of things that other people have already touched. So, you can avoid the risk of catching a bug by regular use of a hand sanitiser while you’re on your coach holidays.
What about the Laundry?
This will mainly depend on the duration of your tour. If you are going to a place for less than a week then you could get away with having to do any laundry. Make sure you’re staying at a hotel for at least 24 hours so you can either use the hotel’s laundry service or wash the items by hand in the bath.
Be Wary of Pickpockets
Don’t let pickpocket rob you of your fun during your coach holidays. To stay safe, keep all of your valuables under lock and key. You could also use a neck or money belt which goes under your clothing.
