The Broads

Norfolk itself is possibly most famous for the gorgeous man-made broads which are a National Park with well over 125 miles of lock-free waterways set in charming countryside with picture postcard quant villages and towns. The Broads National Park offers its visitors a totally unique experience, both on the rivers and lakes and next to them on the cycle ways and paths. However, it’s without question that the best way to explore the Broads is by boat. Much of the Broads cannot be reached by roads so discovering the Broads by boat can be really exciting. There are plenty of opportunities for fishing and to try and seek out some of the local wildlife too.

Norwich

If you fancy visiting some of the larger towns in Norfolk, why not give Norwich a try?  Norwich is a thriving city with medieval heritage and a magnificent cathedral for you to visit. Norwich is great for retail therapy with a real mixture of high street shops and boutique shops to find that perfect holiday treat. Relax in a coffee shop and watch the world go by.

For little ones who enjoy wildlife you can visit the aquarium and get up close and personal with sharks and penguins. Here you can also visit the Merrivale Model village which features miniature buildings and landscapes. For the thrill seekers out there on the seafront is the Pleasure Beach and Joyland amusement parks if you fancy letting your hair down.

Cromer

Cromer is a coastal town and civil parish situated on the North coast of Norfolk.  Cromer is a favourite with families looking for a more traditional seaside holiday.  There are beautiful sandy beaches to visit, surfing and a number of attractions for you to enjoy here.  It is famous for its pier and Pavilion Theatre, where the UK’s only remaining traditional end of pier variety show is hosted each summer and winter.  This is not to be missed.

The house is set in 24 hectares of stunning gardens and is a very famous stately home in Norfolk. The house, gardens and museum are open from April – October.
