The Birmingham Military Tattoo for 2017 is all set to take place on Nov 25 and 26 at the National Indoor Arena (NIA). Over the past 20 years, the event has been a source of thrill and excitement for not just the locals, but international tourists as well.
The magnificent spectacle will last for around three hours. Thousands of bands and musicians belonging to different parts of the world take part and share the stage, entertaining the crowds continuously towards the end. The event hosts several performances such as The Massed Bands, the Parade of the Massed Standards, the Lone Piper and the Field Gun Competition. Towards the end, there is the Grand Finale during which the patriotic favourite song, Land of Hope & Glory, is expected to be sung.
Other expected displays for this year include Royal Air Force Cosford Queen’s Colour, the United Kingdom Disco Display Team, The Warsaw Police Band, The Comets Performance Ensemble and the Adest Musica. The vocalist, Captain Gary Chilton will make a guest appearance.
The military event raises money for the Garter Homes and the Royal Star – both of these are care homes serving disabled men and women who were once in Service. Since 2008, more than £93,000 has been raised.
For 2017, two performances have been scheduled, and tickets are being sold out rapidly. So get yours before space runs out. Generally, Belgium military tattoo tours cover transportation, accommodation in a good hotel, breakfast and some site seeing. If you buy a VIP ticket, you’d enjoy extra facilities such as two course informal dining, VIP check in, onsite parking permit, complementary drinks and cloakroom facility.
