Australia is about so many things –rainforests, the coral reefs, the red desserts, the dream destination of so many travellers. The largest island and the smallest continent, Australia and the US are the same size, but the former of these is more populous.
So if you are planning to go off on Australian escorted tours, where should you head off to? Here are our favourite attractions which this fun country has to offer.
Sydney Opera House
Rated as one of the greatest architectural icons in the world, the Sydney Opera House has a shape that resembles that of a sail or a huge shell. Surrounded by glistening blue waters on three sides, the view is indeed breathtaking. The fourth side is connected to the Royal Botanic Gardens.
Definitely worth a visit, after all, the designer, Jørn Utzon didn’t win an international competition for nothing. He unfortunately backed off the project through due to time and costs constraints; later on, the project was finished but the overall costs exceeded the planned budget.
The Great Barrier Reef
Another site listed on the World’s Heritage. The Great Barrier Reef comprises of over 3,000 coral reefs, 600 continental islands, mangrove islands and 300 coral cays. Regarded as one of the wonders of the nature, the reef stretches for around 2.300 km on Australian’s eastern side. The marine life is stunningly beautiful including sharks, dolphins, dugongs, turtles and rays.
And oh if you want to stay dry, you can still view the life underwater through glass boats and viewing stations below the surface.
Sydney Harbour Bridge
The bridge connects the north shore of the city with the business district. The view from the top is spectacular.
