Coach Holidays in Cornwall

Cornwall is the most south westerly county in England. It is well known for its gorgeous sandy beaches, sparkling blue seas and dramatic coastlines alongside quaint bustling fishing towns. St Ives

St Ives is one of Cornwall’s famous and most popular destinations and a favourite haunt for coach holidays. Despite being a very popular location, it manages to retain its old-world charm. The town hosts an award-winning beach and has many shops and interesting art galleries and exhibits for you to visit whilst here. Take the weight off your feet and enjoy a coffee in one of the pavement cafes overlooking the glorious beaches. Visit the many craft shops and local boutiques as you stroll around the narrow streets in the town.

 

Land’s End        

Here you can experience one of the UK’s legendary coastal landmarks. Land’s End is the UK’s most south-western point with a dramatic blend of natural beauty, stunning scenery and rocky cliff edges. This is an excellent spot for the keen photographers out there with great panoramic views across the ocean. Lose yourself in insignificance here where you take in the landscape in its natural and unspoilt form.

 

Eden Project

A famous attraction in Cornwall is not to be missed during your holiday is the Eden Project. The Eden Project is home to the World’s largest greenhouse exhibitions and spectacular gardens with plants originating from all over the globe. Here you can experience subtropical climates, dry desserts and tropical rainforests. You can take home a piece of Eden from their visitor centre and if there are children in your party there is plenty for them to explore and learn here.

 

Penzance and St Michael’s Mount

Penzance as a historical port is worth a trip during your holiday. From here you can visit the stunning St Michael’s Mount and step into the Island history and way of life. You can leave the coach on the mainland and walk across the causeway to visit the Island with its medieval castle and church.

 

Newquay

Newquay is a holiday hotspot and caters for people of all ages.  It is renowned for its spectacular sandy beaches, dramatic coastlines and beautiful clear blue skies. If surfing is your thing this is the place to visit. Known as Britain’s surfing capital you certainly won’t be disappointed here. If surfing isn’t your thing there are many other local places to visit in the surrounding area.

 

The Lost Gardens of Heligan

What a beautiful hidden treasure to visit during your coach holiday. These gardens boast exotic plants, lush greenery and gardens full of colour. Here you explore two miles of footpaths, summerhouses, a wishing well, an Italian garden, the Giant’s head and the Mud Maid. These gardens have won many international gardening awards.

 

The Lizard and Kynance Cove

A trip to Lizard lighthouse allows you to explore the maritime history of the local area.  The coastal paths allow for breath-taking walks from the cliffs over the Atlantic Ocean. Kynance Cove is picturesque with yet again beautiful views of the spectacular sandy beaches and twinkling waters.

 

Looe

Looe is a scenic Cornish fishing port divided into East and West by its river and harbour. The harbour is full of history of piracy and smuggling. The streets offer a mixed bag of souvenir shops, bars and arts and crafts shops, many of which are located in historical buildings. Looe is a great place to relax and watch the world go by.

Minack Theatre

This a must for your holiday. The Minack Theatre is Cornwall’s world-famous open-air theatre built in the cliffs above the Atlantic Ocean. The stunning theatre has many imposing structures and carved seats which are beautiful, and this is an excellent place to see a local production if you visit during opening theatre months.
